Welcome to ISD

After School Programme

ISD recognises the importance of offering a range of extra curricular activities that enhance the curriculum and appeal to our diverse community of learners. We also understand after school supervision is a valued option for many families.

ISD offers its’ after school programme in two sessions, September – December and January – June.

The programme is available 2:45pm-5:30pm daily, Monday through Friday through two different services:

  • CAS Care
  • Extra Curricular Clubs

Both services complement one another. Families may sign up in a menu format, children may attend a combination of both clubs and care as desired. The programme can also be attended in a part time or full time manner.

  • CAS Care- provides a more general supervision of children. Children play games, construct crafts and have fun both indoors and outdoors on a daily basis. ISD incorporates the element of CAS to the supervision, which is an essential element of the IB Diploma Programme and stands for Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS). CAS is aimed at providing students opportunities to enhance their personal and interpersonal development by learning through experience. The group of children collaboratively develop a weekly schedule to lead school initiatives. From school ground litter picking, to leading school fundraisers, these children, a student council of sorts, play a pivotal part in the development of the school.

  • Extra Curricular Activities – ISD has hand picked a range of activities spread across the school week. Example clubs include: piano, guitar, yoga, football, capoeira, Japanese, Portuguese, French, dancing, cooking and sewing.
