Brooke is an Australian born teacher who spent 5 and a half years working in international and bi-lingual schools in Switzerland before joining ISD in 2015. She is a dedicated, creative and passionate professional, committed to helping young people of all backgrounds and abilities, achieve their personal potential.
Brooke grew up with a great love of literature (both reading and writing) and completed her first degree with a Bachelor of Creative Industries, majoring in creative writing and minoring in French. After working for a Brisbane-based publishing house, Brooke took some time to do further travels and found herself working as a special needs aid-support at an IB school in Zurich. She was so inspired and enthused by this experience that she went back to get her Primary Years teaching diploma.
Since then, Brooke has taught a variety of combination grades, as well as EAL classes. At her previous post, Brooke also took on the role of Assistant PYP Coordinator and wrote many procedural documents for her growing school.
This is Brooke’s 3rd year at ISD and she looks forward to continuing the inquiry journey with our wonderful school community.
