Harper comes from San Diego, California. She has a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a minor in Spanish from Vassar College and a (pending) Master’s degree in Sociology from Trinity College Dublin. Harper’s academic work has been focused on inequity in schooling around the world, most recently focusing on school segregation in Northern Ireland.
Harper went through the IB Diploma Programme in secondary school, an experience she truly really valued, particularly the IB Learner Profile! Her interest in education has given her the opportunity to teach and work with children in places ranging from Santiago, Chile, rural Idaho, Oakland, California and New York City. She gained her EAL skills through her work with recent immigrant populations in the United States.
In her free time she enjoys running in Phoenix Park, reading novels, and listening to podcasts!
