Jeremy Godfrey is a Commissioner in ComReg, Ireland’s regulator of communications markets such as broadband, mobile and postal services.
Prior to coming to taking up this role in 2013, he spent twenty years living in Hong Kong, working in the IT and telecoms sector. He worked for a telecoms operator and in consulting, and was latterly as the Chief Information Officer for the Hong Kong Government.
While in Hong Kong, he was chairman of an IB primary school and founding chairman of a new IB secondary school. His two children both were educated in the IB Primary Years Programme in Hong Kong, and one of them spent a year at ISD after they moved to Ireland.
Jeremy has an MA from Cambridge University in the UK, where he studied mathematics. He holds dual Irish and UK citizenship.
